Wanda King, CNA with residentSince 1969, SEIU Healthcare Pennsylvania nursing home workers have stood up for dignity, rights, and respect for ourselves and for our residents. We know that to bring all long term care workers out of poverty, ensure affordable family health insurance, and provide quality care to our residents, we have to stand together.

By standing up to nursing home operators that too often put profit ahead of the needs of front-line workers and our residents,  we have made change. We fought for a "Nursing Home Workers' Bill of Rights" and a nursing home employers "Code of Conduct". We have won significant wage increases, fully paid health insurance and pensions, protections and the dignity and respect we deserve so we can provide the quality of care our residents need.
