Fulfill Your College Goals with an SEIU Scholarship
Unions help working families fulfill their dreams in many different ways. At SEIU, this includes yearly college scholarship opportunities.
Through five different scholarship programs, SEIU awards 53 scholarships that enable SEIU members and their children to pursue their educational goals at accredited colleges, universities, and technical schools. (Brochure in: English | Spanish)

The Bonnie Ladin Scholarship
This scholarship is in honor of Bonnie Ladin who was an organizer at SEIU for 20 years and played an integral role in building SEIU to make it the union it has become. She led many great organizing campaigns to improve the lives of working people over the years and held several important leadership roles at SEIU including Healthcare Division Director, Office Worker Division Director, SEIU Nursing Home Organizing Director, and California Organizing Director.
Bonnie joined the faculty of the National Labor College in Silver Spring, Maryland, in 2001 where her courses on organizing tactics and leadership skills helped prepare the next generation of organizers.
In 2010, after a long battle with cancer, Bonnie passed away at the age of 59. The Bonnie Ladin Scholarship is designated for students attending the National Labor College. Apply online at aim.applyists.net/bl
